I wish I knew how to ask better questions in an interview

Finding the right person/ people for your team is important.  You want to have a highly qualified person for the position and as a small business owner you want to get them for the best price possible.

Knowing what questions you can ask is also impotant as you don't want to get sued.  Ask open-ended questions that may lead to an answer... Do you want to know if they are married or have kids?  Say something like, " Are there any commitments that you have that might prevent you from working late, overtime or on the weekends?"  Let them answer how they see fit.  You might get your answer, you might not.

Do background checks!  I always get drama.  Garnishments, bad credit, IRS, leins, etc.  Stay away from the troublemakers--they'll cause you to spend more time on them than your business.
