Solar Charging Stations in Office

Set up mounted solar cell phone charging stations on windows in your office (http://www.1compras.com/product_info.php?language=en&currency=USD&products_id=2623 like this one) so that everyone can easily charge their phones but not waste power on it. With every employee charging their phones daily, it can be a huge drain.

Share Supplies

Seems like we have an overload of supplies at my office. And seriously, how many times a day do I use my stapler? 0. how many times  a week? 0. how many times a month? maybe once. when I'm bored.

So why not share supplies? We all need our own computer, notebook, pen but do we need our own tape, paper clips, and containers to own all these different things? Why not have a communal area to grab that stuff. Save energy by reducing the amount of supplies needed and wasted in your office.

Paper is a key link to energy use both in its production and also in how you use it in the office. Its a great place to save energy AND save a lot of money. Some quick tips include: Changing the default margins in Microsoft Word via your central server. Set default on printers and copiers to duplex. Form a team. Do an audit of paper use. Create interoffice competition or a reward for staff. And post reminders around the office and at the bottom of emails and memos.
